We Value the Bible
The Bible is God's inspired word and is the Christians' authoritative guide for faith and practice. We are committed to equipping believers through the teaching and preaching of God's word. "All scripture is inspired God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness."
(2 Timothy 3:16)
We Value Prayer
Prayer is the means by which God's people converse with him. Prayer is to be a priority and is to permeate every ministry and activity of this church. "Pray without ceasing."
(1 Thessalonians 5:17)
What is Hope Baptist Church all about?
Hope Baptist Church is all about "hope", all about our members and our fellowship, our worship and our prayer together as the Hope Baptist family. We are excited about what God is doing here, and we are excited about what each of our members brings to our "family" - their presence, their God-given skills and talents, their dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ, and their devotion to reaching people for Christ by learning to imitate his life.
We Value Worship
The goal of this church is to enjoy the glory of God as revealed through his son Jesus Christ. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through me." (John 14:6)
We Value People
People are important to God and to this church. We will strive to reach people through evangelism and missions. "For the Son of Man came to seek and save that which is lost." (Luke 19:10)
We will foster a sense of community through fellowship, encouragement, and support. "Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart."
(Acts 2:46)
We Value Ministry
The primary responsibility of the pastor(s) and teachers is to "equip the saints for the work of the ministry." (Ephesians 4:12)
We seek to involve all church members in the ministry of this church serving out their spiritual gifts.
We Value Growth
This applies to both spiritual growth and numerical growth. Therefore, this church will pursue methods and strategies that reach and discipline as many as possible. "Make disciples of all the nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." (Mathew 28:19)
"When Jesus saw their faith, He said, 'Friend, your sins are forgiven." Luke 5:20
